<b>The Road to Now</b>
<b>Series</b>: Pretty much original; it’s the roleplay me and Haiku-chan do. This is a tie to her one-shot about Ayumu’s lover, Akira. Here’s some background on it, too: Ayumu is an orphan who was abused by his parents in the demon world. They disowned him, giving him nothing but money and a guide to the human world, so he could live on his own. At first, he was a shy, uncaring little boy that always had his head in his video games. He runs into his parents again years and years later after joining the Dark Tournament with Kurama and Hiei’s children, on their team. He is forced to kill his mother in the tournament, then his father commits suicide in front of Kurama, after finally giving his son a name; Ayumu, with the characters for “walk”, and “dream”. So he could always, “Walk towards his dreams.” Kurama adopts him, and enrolls him in the local middle school (He was 13 at the time), where he meets Akira. This story is how much Ayumu has changed; from being an abused little boy to a functioning adult in society.
<b>Rating</b>: I’d say M, just for dark happenings and depressing stuff. L
<b>Summary</b>: Ayumu was just never good enough. Or so he thought.
<b>Author’s Note</b>: I was in the mood to write about Ayumu, and I decided to do a companion piece to Haiku’s story, <b>Beauty is a Curse</b>. Just in case people were wondering what Akira’s lover was like. <3 That, and I like spoiling Haiku with fic when I’m feeling inspired to.
